Lakeside Amusement Park

Printer-friendly version

Lakeside Amusement Park was built as a competitor to Elitch Gardens in 1908. The amusement park was allowed to sell beer, because it resided in unregulated Lakeside, Colorado. The park was located on the Denver Tramway and offered dancing and other festivities. Today, the park still has its original casino tower and many other original structures and details. It is one of the oldest functioning amusement parks in the United States.
