Lake Steam Baths

Printer-friendly version

Lake Steam (AKA Lake Russian & Turkish Baths), was, according to a GoFundMe set up during their pandemic by the 4th generation owner, "built brick by brick by Harry and Ethyl Hyman. They fled wartime Russia seeking a better life. When they arrived in Denver, Harry and Ethyl decided they wanted to open a business that would share their culture of the community bath house. They knew Denver residents would enjoy the amazing health benefits of eucalyptus steam and sauna. Lake Bath has served the Denver community continuously since 1927, through recessions, depressions, wars, and countless cultural changes. It is a local treasure, bringing together people from all walks of life to share in community and the health benefits of Russian and Turkish baths."
