Former Navajo Arts District

Printer-friendly version

This block used to house four art galleries along with the Bug Theater and was the Navajo Arts District until all of the galleries moved to the 40 West Arts District in Lakewood. Pirate: Contemporary Art and Edge Gallery were two of the oldest galleries on the block. Each has been in existence for about 40 years. They were/are Co-Operative galleries run by artists, and artists pay the rent on the galleries, giving artists free agency when creating their shows/exhibitions.
