Ben's Market

Printer-friendly version

Ben's Market has been a neighborhood staple for over a century. Built on a streetcar line it was later owned and operated by the Okubo family for generations. It helped tie the community together and provide a strong sense of place. The Okubo family was interned at Camp Amache in south western Colorado during World War, and moved to Denver after the war, purchasing the market. Local neighbors and students have completed research about the building.
